Room 13, looking north from portico through doorway into south part of the double tablinum.

VII.2.20 Pompeii. c.1930. Looking north from room (13) behind tablinum towards atrium and entrance doorway.
According to Blake –
We will make the one black and white mosaic in the group of coloured pavements of VII.2.20 which we have assigned to the pre-Roman period, our point of departure for this study.
In the room behind the tablinum, is a simple design in squares and triangles, which became exceedingly popular during the first century BC.
See Blake, M., (1930). The pavements of the Roman Buildings of the Republic and Early Empire. Rome, MAAR, 8, (p.78, pl.17, tav.3).

According to Blake –
This photo, showing a partially destroyed mosaic is published not so much for its intrinsic value, as from the desire to preserve a record of it.
The border is now completely lost. (p.12).
In the room at the left (of the tablinum), oblique rows in different colours once made a neat border. (pl.46, fig.1) for the centre now lost. (p.75).
See Blake, M., (1930). The pavements of the Roman Buildings of the Republic and Early Empire. Rome, MAAR, 8, (p.12 & 75, Pl.46, tav.1).
