Set
in the flooring was a motif of a shell set between two craters (vases).

The painting showed two cupids carrying an arrow, one of the attributes of Apollo, who is also seen in the central painting of the north wall.
Although a precise location of the painting is not known, it could be from the left (west side) of the north wall where there is a gap at the centre of the panel.

The painting shows a cupid and a psyche carrying the large lyre of Apollo, this is still just about visible at the east (right) end of the north wall.

This showed a cupid and a psyche carrying a large urn and was already damaged when first found.
This was from the south wall of the triclinium, on the left side of the doorway.

VIII.3.24 Pompeii. December 2007. Looking east across peristyle towards tablinum.
The floor of the tablinum was of simple cocciopesto.
The wall decoration was of fourth style with a high black zoccolo with panels showing geometric patterns or plants and compartments with a central corolla.
The middle zone was red, fallen for the most part on the north wall, but repeating the same colouring on the other walls.
The middle zone of the east wall had a central compartment between two red panels.
At the top was a square window opening onto the garden of the neighbouring house at VIII.3.14.
On the right of the photo would be the doorway to the oecus/cubiculum.
VIII.3.24 Pompeii. Drawing by Giuseppe Abbate, 1840, of paintings described as being from a cubiculum, but in fact, from the oecus of a house with entrance from the Via della Regina, at the rear of the Forum, Casa d’Apolline e Coronide.
The painting of Venus was seen on the east wall (Helbig 348) of the oecus, but now has completely disappeared.
The painting of Narcissus is still just about preserved and recognisable on the north wall of the oecus (Helbig 1341).

In the photo above, the doorway that can be seen right of centre leads to a kitchen and latrine.
Found on the plaster facing the hearth, written in faint letters was the graffito –
AELIVS . MAGNVS .
