VI.7.19 Pompeii. Casa di Inaco ed Io or House of Fabii Tyrannus and Iarinus.

VI.7.19 Pompeii. May 2006. Entrance.
According to Della Corte, living in this house would have been a certain Fabius Tyrannus.
He thought this was proved by the two recommendations written on the left of the doorway which were –

Fabius rog(at)    [CIL IV 217]

(Fabius) Tyrannus rog(at)    [CIL IV 224]

On the right side of the doorway was found–
(Fabius) Tyrannus cupiens fecit cum Sodales (sic)    [CIL IV 221]

This room was decorated with a red plinth and red dado. On each dado were painted jugs.
On the north wall was a painted golden wine-glass shaped crater, with two painted panels with plants. 
On the east wall was a painted yellow jug.
On the south wall was a painted golden wine-glass shaped crater.
Above the red dado were yellow panels, divided by painted architecture.

This room was decorated with a red plinth and red dado. On each dado were painted jugs.

On the north wall was a painted golden wine-glass shaped crater, with two painted panels with plants.

On the east wall was a painted yellow jug.

On the south wall was a painted golden wine-glass shaped crater.

Above the red dado were yellow panels, divided by painted architecture.
