“The top enrichment is modelled in stucco and projects about 1 ½ inches from the wall, next to the ceiling.
The height of the decoration from the red band to the ceiling, is 1 foot 6 inches, and the ceiling is 8 feet 3 inches from the floor.
The heads of Medusa are painted with great care, as indeed is the whole of the Decoration.”

According to Disegnatori when the painting was discovered on 22nd August 1836, it was left in situ, and is now only in a moderate state of preservation.

Now in Naples Archaeological Museum. Inventory number ADS 207.
