According to Fiorelli, when excavated only one painting remained, showing Venus and Adonis sitting and looking at a nest of three cupids. He said they had also found a fragment of the other painting that had a sitting Endymion.  See Pappalardo, U., 2001. La Descrizione di Pompei per Giuseppe Fiorelli (1875). Napoli: Massa Editore. (p.126) According to the Giornale di Scavi 1861, see page 42: In the tablinum ……..  is shown Leda showing Tindarus the twins and Helen just come out of the egg.

According to PPM, the zoccolo was black, the middle zone of the walls were yellow and the central panels alternated with vignettes of the Seasons in the side panels; the stucco cornice divided the middle zone from the white upper part.

In the left (north end) panel of the east wall, a vignette of the Seasons showed “Winter” wearing a cloak.

Described by Minervini (BAI 1861, p.49) as “a female figure with white cloth that wrapped around the head and body”.

She holds a jug in her right hand and a box in her left hand held at waist level.

According to Fiorelli, when excavated only one painting remained, showing Venus and Adonis sitting and looking at a nest of three cupids.

He said they had also found a fragment of the other painting that had a sitting Endymion.

One could only see a fragment of a sitting person, perhaps Adonis with a dog at his feet.

It had been transformed into a storeroom or cupboard with shelving. According to Fiorelli, many kitchen items and furnishings were found here.
