In the centre of the red zoccolo on the east wall was a feline.

According to Pagano and Prisciandaro, graffiti was found in September and October 1827. These were found on the wall following the entrance of VI.8.24, on the corner of the small vicolo. They read –
M(arcum) Samellium
aed(ilem) o(ro) v(os) f(aciatis)    [CIL IV 212, painted in red]
Modestum
Aed(ilem) d(ignum) r(ei) p(ublicae) o(ro) v(os) f(aciatis)    [CIL IV 213]
