II.5.1 Pompeii. December 2006. The area to the right of the brick wall, where the modern sign post is now, was the site of pilaster of the gate that closed the Vicolo between II.5 and II.4  on the Via dell’ Abbondanza.  This was not restored after the bomb damage of 1943.
