In the west wall of the small room to east of the workshop, at a height of 1.45m from the earth, is embedded a small semi-circular lararium niche, 0.33m x 0.43m.

According to Boyce, this arched niche was painted red on the inside.

A thick ledge was indicated in the stucco below it, although the floor does not project.
