I.4.16 Pompeii. May 2005.  Two niches on south wall. According to Boyce, either or both of these could have been lararia.  The upper niche was arched and had its walls coated with red stucco. The lower rectangular niche had a back wall which curved from back to front. Its walls were coated with white stucco decorated with painted red dots, to represent flowers.

I.4.16 Pompeii. May 2005.  Two niches on south wall.

According to Boyce, either or both of these could have been lararia.

The upper niche was arched and had its walls coated with red stucco.

The lower rectangular niche had a back wall which curved from back to front.

Its walls were coated with white stucco decorated with painted red dots, to represent flowers.
