VII.7.21/22 Pompeii. Street Altar as painted by Mazois.

According to Mau two pilasters support an aedicula in which an eagle is seen.

This indicates that the shrine was dedicated Jupiter.

Above the altar is a stucco relief representing a sacrifice.

Fiorelli describes it as Ara Iovis with a Genius sacrificing, with two Lares and underneath a table and serpents.
